A new master-planned community is officially coming to Richmond.
The George, a 1,491-acre development by Johnson Development, is now accepting home reservations as builders begin constructing model homes. Located on historic George Ranch land off Ricefield Road, the community is expected to bring approximately 4,000 homes to Fort Bend County.
Home prices currently start around $360,000 and range into the $600,000s, with several well-known builders participating, including Newmark Homes, Highland Homes, David Weekley Homes, Empire Homes, Perry Homes, Chesmar Homes, J. Patrick Homes, and Westin Homes.
The first phase will include more than 300 homesites, with future plans for community amenities and recreational spaces.
For families, The George is zoned to Lamar Consolidated ISD, and an elementary school is already planned within the community.
Developed by Johnson Development—the team behind popular communities like Sienna, Harvest Green, Riverstone, and Cross Creek Ranch—The George is expected to become one of Fort Bend County’s most sought-after new neighborhoods.
As demand for new construction continues across Richmond and Fort Bend County, early buyers may benefit from the best lot selections, builder incentives, and pricing opportunities.
Bottom Line
The George represents an exciting new option for buyers looking for modern homes, excellent schools, and master-planned community living in Richmond.
